Ok the second and most important thing to pick up in order to coupon shop effectivly… Make a very specific list of the items you use all the time. Include Brand and package size and how often you use it. What this allows you to do is spot good coupons instantly and if you are aware of how much you use in a 3-6 month period, when a good deal arrises you will know (provided it has a long enough shelf life) how much to buy.
A perfect example is shampoo. You can get some great coupons for all kinds of shampoo. I prefer the anti-dandruff kind but other than that I’m not specific. So I clip every coupon for this kind of shampoo, several weeks ago there was a head and shoulders coupon for $3 off. Walmart happened to have it on sale for $4.30 So I got 3 bottles (thats all the coupons I had) What’s great about that is I got Name brand shampoo at well under name brand price. Not to mention it was cheaper than buying the generic version in a smaller size as well.
